I’m Chris, 32 years old, from Manchester, UK. I currently live with my girlfriend , we’ve bought our first house together, and we’ve been here for nearly 3 years. Grown up stuff!
Since there’s only 2 of us, I get to use the second bedroom for – you guessed it – a games room. I’m very lucky to have the setup I’ve got, and maintaining it/adding to it is just as fun as actually playing the stuff in my collection! I have 26 systems set up, spread across 5 screens, as well as a desktop PC. And 6 handhelds. Yikes! I did a very special post on it, you can find that here!
I have been an avid gamer for as long as I can remember. My parents bought me my first system, An Amstrad 464, with a green screen monitor. Since then I’ve grown up with games, and whilst I love the current gen games, and they’re always a challenge, I love going back to my roots, for a quick blast on Doors of Doom, or a few rounds of Mortal Kombat. My favourite systems of all time are the Vectrex, the Amiga, the Sega Saturn and The Ps2.
This little fella is actually me. He’s in the title bar for Load/Error and was drawn by the authors of a puzzle game called “Wind and Water” on the GP2X. I sent them a reference photo and they emailed me back with the finished product. Awesome eh? You can actually play AS me in the game too…. mental!
I work for a well known Supermarket chain, and am currently a supervisor there. It might not be the highest paid job in the world (in fact it’s probably one of the lowest, haha!) But it’s a busy job that requires patience, people skills and dedication. I can walk away every day knowing I’ve earned my wages!
